The 2023 World Climate Tech tour will kick off in New York and continue on to Jerusalem, Paris, Munich, Stockholm and wrap up at COP28 in the UAE. Our goal is to discover the next generation of innovative solutions from across the world to tackle climate change through global partnerships.
We leverage our deep experience in Cyber, FinTech, InsurTech, FoodTech, AgTech, AI, and Smart Cities to redefine the ClimaTech space, with the aim of targeting and building the next international market leaders.
Along with kicking off our international tour, we will also launch the second cohort of the JVP, Margalit Startup City, MINI and UrbanX by BMW Climate-Tech Acceleration program following the major success of the first cycle.
This cohort includes hundreds of startups from all over the world that present an exciting, innovative, and dynamic approach to mitigating climate change.
A NEW PARADIGM FOR CLIMATE CHANGE
Climate Tech is the new major technological revolution that is impacting every dimension of our lives. It is more than alternative energy or innovative mobility. By bringing together technologies from FinTech, Digital Health, FoodTech, AgTech and Cyber Security, we can create much-needed solutions, enabling us to change the way we consume, work and live while saving our planet.
The various subsectors of tech - together - can make a difference, changing the future of our world and the future of cities. It is time for public and private leaders across the globe, from Israel, America, Europe, Asia and beyond, to join forces in bringing in a new paradigm for building technology that protects the planet.
"Climate Tech is the new major technological revolution that is impacting every dimension of our life. It is more than just about alternative energy or innovative mobility. Only by bringing together technologies from FinTech, Digital Health, FoodTech, AgTech and Cyber Security, can we create the much-needed solutions, enabling us to change the way we eat, consume, work and live,
and help save our planet.”

THE INTERNATIONAL
CLIMATE-TECH CENTER, MARGALIT STARTUP CITY NYC
Located in SoHo, NYC, the new International ClimateTech Center is the second phase of the International Cyber Center that was launched, by JVP and Erel Margalit in February of 2020, in partnership with the City of New York, Columbia University, Cornell, CUNY, NYU, and the EDC. The Center already has 35 scale-up companies and has become one of the most vibrant Cyber security Centers on the East Coast.
When the world faced a new reality, the international cyber center, Margalit Startup City, NYC, brought new energy and hope to many startups and entrepreneurs from the U.S., Europe, and Israel.
It has since become a focal point for investors, business leaders, multinational companies and international tech visionaries seeking to work together to solve the world’s challenges in Cyber, Fintech, FoodTech, Media, Digital Health, and more.
The center, which initially hosted 8 startup companies, has since grown to over 35 scale-up companies with hundreds of employees, a café, a place for artists to exhibit their creations, and a place to gather and share ideas.

Our Place
The center is located in the heart of Manhattan's SoHo, at 122 Grand St, in a historic 19th- century building spanning three floors of offices. The building built in 1879-80 features French Renaissance architectural design by John Correja. Erel Margalit, founder and Chairman of JVP and Margalit Startup City, enlisted award-winning architect Peter Bohlin, to transform the site into a center of innovation for cybersecurity, AI and Big Data technologies, while at the same time preserving the historic characteristics of this unique location.
